2017 Spring Camping Trip - Woodruff Scout Camp

WHERE AND WHEN:

Robert W. Woodruff Scout Reservation

31 Woodruff Drive

Blairsville, GA 30512

(Near the North Carolina border past Blue Ridge)

Arrive Friday afternoon/evening on 4/28, head home Sunday morning on 4/30

FOOD AND LODGING:

Bring a tent. Bring several! This is tent camping, like we did for Spooky-Ree at Bert Adams. If you're familiar with the site, we're at Campsite 2 which is plenty big enough for our pack, but we have some spillover space available, too.

The pack will be providing dinner both Friday and Saturday nights! Plan on hot dogs and onion rings and like Friday Night, and a special course TBD on Saturday Night. We recommend each den plan their lunch together on Saturday, and families handle their own breakfasts.

ACTIVITIES:

We'll have water rockets on Saturday in the Activity Field, a campfire Saturday Night, and a Sunday morning Scout service, but in general this is more laid-back than Spooky-Ree. Fishing is available in the lake if you bring your rod and tackle, and there's always hiking and disc golf. Bring soccerballs, frisbees, and plan on having fun and/or relaxing in a laid-back atmosphere. If your den has activities to complete, this trip is an excellent opportunity.

COST:

I know what you're thinking - a trip this wonderful has got to be $99.99 per person easily, right? It's not! Act now, and you can attend for the low low price of $10 per family. That's right! Not per person, but $10 per family, and that includes those two dinners.

HOW TO SIGN UP:

I'm going to make this simple: If you want to go, send me an email! If you can't send me an email, tell your den leader to send me an email. I need to know the den your scout is in and the name of each person attending. We'll collect payment at the next pack meeting, 3/24.

More soon, but please do let me know if you'd like to attend!
